Christian Louboutin Collaborates With Thomas Heatherwick On First Fragrance
Architect Thomas Heatherwick's design imprint lands on the exquisite design of perfume bottles for the first fragrance of Christian Louboutin. The designer of red-sole, femme fatale stilettos for stars knew that he wanted an architectural influence in his fragrance vessels. These three empowering bottles present ‘Bikini Questa Sera‘ a warm tuberose and jasmine scent, ‘Trouble in Heaven‘ a mixture of iris notes and patchouli both engineered by perfumer Pierre Negrin as well as ‘Tornade Blonde‘ a red rose fragrance with nuances of violet and cassis by Olivier Cresp. The goddesses will be delighted.
Thomas Heatherwick was the focus of a winter 2012 interview and design philosophy investigation by the Economist. The full range of his design vision is represented in a sweeping images from these Christian Louboutin perfume bottles to the utterly grand 'Vessel' public landmark sculpture that is the centerpiece of Manhattan's Hudson Yards development.
The sculpture, under construction in Italy and designated for completion in 2018, is 15 stories high and is filled with 2,500 climbable stairs.

In March 2016, Natalia Siam shared the story of being a sixth grader, age 11, living in Dubai and attending the international school. Schoolmates were jealous of her role on a TV pilot, so jealous that they pushed her over, breaking her leg and forcing her into a wheelchair for six months.
The face of Forever 21 in Australia, Natalia has been told that she is too 'chunky' or 'fluffy', that her eyes are too close and her round face is a deal-breaker in the fashion industry. "I questioned if I should be doing modelling at all. It ruined my confidence and I started to ask myself who I was and how I felt about myself. It was not a great time in my life." Now an anti-bullying voice at age 16, Natalia Siam reviews her own life experiences saying, "I can now understand why some teenagers commit suicide."
