As Maxim tries to reposition itself as the leading voice in men'x luxury lifestyle media, it announced in August that supermodel and VS Angel Alessandra Ambrosio has joining the Maxim team as Special Lifestyle editor. 

“I’ve been working closely with Sardar and his team over the last few months to develop new and interesting stories that put Maxim at the forefront of luxury lifestyle. I'm genuinely thrilled that I will now begin contributing to the magazine,” Ambrosio said. “We have lots of great things planned, and I’m excited to get to work!”

Alessandra appeared on the December/January 2016 cover of Maxim, which sold more newsstand copies than any other men's lifestyle magazine for the last 18 months. Gilles Bensimon flashes many VS models and more sensual women for Maxim and fashion magazines, underscoring a fusion in our appetite for a positive relationship between mind and body.

Hall admits in her Edit interview that she just joined Instagram and -- if the truth be told -- she already feels conflicted. Committed to small, quality roles (a big one is great, too), the actor is grappling with being sent shoes with the expectation that she will post them. Not that she is against supporting emerging designers. 

So conflicted was Hall, that she sent herself a memo to clarify her thinking. "This is embarrassing," she says, "but I'm going to have to bring it out.” There, on her iPhone Notes, under the password for her air-conditioning system, is the following: “As a public person, to some degree there is a relationship between the world and your image. And when you’re in control of it you’re an artist. But when it’s dictated by the market you’re a product, and that requires constant vigilance.

”To be fair, she also has the following note: “If you don’t like my peaches, don’t shake my tree.” This one has us roaring with laughter.

Gigi's interview is behind the WSJ paywall but we do learn that a small business launched her career. "My friend has a garage on the street, so we decided to have a lemonade stand," Hadid explains. She joined forces with bestie Kendall Jenner and launched a lemonade stand. Hadid painted the sign and the duo earned $100, which they donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Bottom line, the girls helped four dogs.
