English actor Keira Knightly covers the July 1 issue of Madame Figaro, styled by Leila Smara for images by Paul Maffi. The 'Collateral Beauty' star wears jewelry from Chanel Joaillerie, for which she is the official 'face'. Knightley has also fronted Rouge Coco and Coco Mademoiselle perfume.
Keira Knightly was recently criticized by director John Carney for her role in 'Begin Again' alongside Adam Levine. Carney said, “Keira has an entourage that follow her everywhere so it’s very hard to get any real work done.”
He added, “I learned that I’ll never make a film with supermodels again. … it’s not like I hate the Hollywood thing but I like to work with curious, proper film actors as opposed to movie stars. I don’t want to rubbish Keira, but you know it’s hard being a film actor and it requires a certain level of honesty and self-analysis that I don’t think she’s ready for yet and I certainly don’t think she was ready for on that film.”
The response to Carney from other actors was quick and brutal, causing the director to self-reflect. "In trying to pick holes in my own work, I ended up blaming someone else. That’s not only bad directing, that’s shoddy behaviour, that I am not in any way proud of. It's arrogant and disrespectful. Keira was nothing but professional and dedicated during that film and she contributed hugely to its success. I wrote to Keira personally to apologise, but I wanted to publicly, and unreservedly apologise to her fans and friends..."

When Bruni explained how she’d react if her husband hypothetically committed adultery, the interview turned very intense. Many experts said that Bruni was channeling feelings that most women would never articulate but feel. But in America, where more than half of all women murdered by a gun are killed by partners of family members, Bruni's comments were a bit unsettling. “I could do extreme gestures, like cut his throat or his ears when he’s asleep, for example,” she said, as reported by Hollywood.com. “I think you should avoid to cheat if you can; it’s too dangerous. It’s a road to a breakup. Also, fidelity, this is a sine qua non [essential] condition for a wedding [sic], I guess. Why cheat and lie whereas you have the possibility to choose your life, get married or not, have kids or not.”
