AOC has covered extensively the heroic actions of the Kurdish Women's Protection Units (YPJ), One of their bravest leaders Asia Ramazan Antar, 19, was killed by Islamic State (IS) militants in northern Syria last month. The Kurds were so disappointed that the Western press obsessed -- not with Antar's extreme bravery and leadership skills -- but her beautiful looks, dubbing her as the 'Angelina Jolie of Kurdistan'.
