Simply gorgeous images of Kate Upton grace Carine Roitfeld’s take on the pre-fall collections for Harper’s Bazaar Australia’s May issue. Kate is joined by Irina Shayk, Senait Gidey, Soo Joo Park and Tilda Lindstam in Sebastian Faena’s lush images of the girls on a mission of mercy, safari style.
For all our AOC animal rights activists, I’m checking on the adorable cubs featured in ‘Carine on the Collections: The Animal Nursery.’ . The use of animals in fashion shoots is a sensitive subject to many of my readers.
It will be interesting to see how Harper’s handles Carine’s work. I doubt they will just reprint the same images globally and in different months. So I expect more pictures from the same shoot — perhaps even making another model the focus and with different outfits — as Kate is here. (Indeed, I just answered my own question. Nomi posted the Harper’s UK version yesterday, and Kate isn’t even in it. Irina Shayk is front and center.)
Sebastian Kim knows well how to capture the essence of Kate Upton, one so different from Terry Richard’s ppurely its and ass approach to her. Carine clearly loves Kate. And just last week Bert Stern, who famously captured Marilyn Monroe in ‘The Last Sitting’, said that Kate is his next muse (if she’s have him, of course).
