Note | Nudity A recent review of 15 years of digital scans — 20,000 in total — convinces me that fashion photography is becoming more artistic. Personally, I think this trend is wonderful.

Inspired by the work of Swiss-Italian artist Alberto Giacometti, photographer Gianluca Fontana takes the trend literally, capturing Federica Marchetti Parma, Eloise and Nomi (Elite) models as sculptural figures. Some of you may notice that we’re advancing the old values and nature channel with hits of fashion, calling the new composite Fashion Mavericks. Our focus there is eccentric trends in fashion of a non-sexual nature. Artistic visions that are first and foremost inspired by sensuality and sexuaity will stay here in Private Studio, which we are now calling Artistic Editorials. When we first launched Private Studio almost three years ago, it was more exclusively erotic. Today artistry seems to be a more relevant umbrella for the editorials featured here.

Women’s rights and politics remain a strong pov on our main page, but we’ve changed the name to ‘Salon’ because I’m weaving culture into the conversation and connecting dots in more of a collage format. It’s a lot of work but the response has been outstanding.
